Dr Uday Phadke to speak on UK R&D Strategy at a KTN-R&D Society event

Dr Uday Phadke, Chief Executive of Cartezia, presents at the "UK R&D: Building a strategic and sustainable vision for the future" event, jointly organised by the Knowledge Transfer Network and the R&D Society on April 29th in London.

The overall purpose of the event is to better understand UK R&D priorities around knowledge transfer, skills supply and competitiveness, while also covering large infrastructure development activities such as Catapult centres, Materials Innovation Factory at Liverpool University and the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde.

Dr Phadke will present a model based on 30 years of experience from the Cambridge Innovation Cluster, which questions some of the fashionable assumptions about what it takes to succeed, including the role of venture capital, tax structures and funding for research and development.
